Will you ‘take the leap’ and quit the ciggies?

ARE you going to take the leap this leap year and quit smoking?

NHS Bedfordshire is encouraging smokers to make 2012 the year they quit tobacco.

Muriel Scott, director of public health, said: “The benefits of not smoking begin within hours and boost not just your health but your wallet too, as a 20-a-day smoker will spend more than £2,000 a year on cigarettes or tobacco.

“Last year we supported more than 4,400 people in Bedfordshire and Luton to stop smoking and our aim is to help even more during 2012.”
