Wing schoolgirl on mission to help Macmillan
Overstone student Chloe Meadows teamed up with mum Michelle to prepare for her first charity event.
Michelle, 45 – an administrator at Bletchley’s Waterhall School – said: “She’d been at me for ages to have a homemade lemonade sale and she decided to give the money to Macmillan.

“I helped with the baking. Actually I did most of it – although at the end she helped by licking the bowl and the spoons.”
Mother and daughter set up shop on a table with a pretty pink cloth on the driveway of their Ridgeway home. And they were overwhelmed by the response.
Michelle said: “We didn’t set a price, we just asked for donations. And people were so generous – they were giving us £5 and £10 notes. We sold out very quickly.”
