Woman rescued from flat fire in High Town

A woman was rescued from her flat in High Town after a fire broke out yesterday (Sunday) evening.

Crews from Dunstable, Stopsley and Luton community fire stations were sent to Elgar Path shortly after 8pm.

A Beds Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Yesterday at 8:11pm, we attended a fire in the first floor flat of a three-storey building in Elgar Path.

"We rescued one female casualty and placed her in the care of the ambulance service.
