Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme is back for the seventh year and the Bury Park store is looking for a new worthy cause to support from the Luton area.

For the first time, customers will be given a choice of charities to vote for and the winning charity will then get help from the store to fundraise and raise awareness for the forthcoming year.

Good causes must be nominated at the store’s customer service desk by May 11.

Customers can vote between June 15-28 in store and at www.sainsburyslocalcharity.co.uk

The Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised over £7million over the last six years and has helped thousands of charities across the UK.

Ian Shannon, store manager of Sainsbury’s Bury Park, Luton said: “We know there are so many great charities in the local area and we’re really excited about providing a boost to one of these over the next year.”
