You are never too old for fun

DANCING, singing and a tiny tipple made for an entertaining event at Ridgeway Lodge Residential Home in Dunstable.

The care home in Brandreth Avenue hosted Bupa Wants Talent, which saw residents impress each other with their skills.

Joan Folis showed off some fancy footwork dancing with home manager Peter Hodges and the audience, including May Saving and Reginald Wright, also enjoyed singing performances.

The event was held to mark Older People’s Day earlier this month, which celebrates later life and the contribution that elderly people make to society.

Bupa Wants Talent was also held at the private health company’s care homes in Luton – Capwell Grange Nursing Home in Addington Way and St Mary’s Nursing Centre in Dunstable Road.

Capwell Grange manager Mary Tolladay said: “Bupa Wants Talent is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to shine and to show that you can get involved and have fun no matter how old you are.”
