In the U11s, Leah Jay won the 600m in a PB of 1.52mins, leading from the start, well supported by Charlie Soanes, Grace O’Malley and Ruby Finlay.

All four Luton U11 shot putters, coached by Geoff Grinsted, obtained PBs, as Zack Grinsted won with a putt over 7.46m, closely followed by Tyreece Sealey, Chi Cowie and Ash Neale.

A fairly small team of U13 boys did well to finish second in their match too, as they ended the day with a relay team of James Gardner, Harry Marlow, Daniel Bentham and Hakim Mitchell finishing runners-up by a fraction of a second to Braintree.

A superb team performance from Luton’s U13 girls team of Isla Finlay, Shadie Esteke, Caitlyn O’Malley, Holly Wilks, Abbie Dancer, Jennifer Porter, Milly Soanes and Emily Boylan and Sophia Spiers saw them win their match.

That victory now puts them in the mix to challenge for top place in the League.
