ATHLETICS: Luton AC to host memorial race

Luton Athletic club welcomes runners of all abilities from 15 years old upwards to take part in a special 20th edition of the John O’Callaghan Memorial 5 mile road race, starting at 11am on Sunday, June 29.

The race in memory of the popular Luton coach is a two lap course through the grounds of Luton Hoo, starting and finishing at Venue 360 in Gypsy Lane.

Medals are awarded to all finishers and for the serious runner the race also incorporates the Bedfordshire 5 mile County Championships.

This year there is also an opportunity for local companies to enter a team of five for a corporate challenge with trophies for the winners with the McMillan Cancer charity benefiting from their efforts.

The Series continues with the Wardown 5k on Sunday, July 13 and the Luton 10k on Sunday, July 20.
