ATHLETICS: Murray qualifies for Team GB
Luton runner Rebecca Murray has qualified to represent Team GB at the European Cross Country Championships in France later this month.
The 21-year-old will be part of the U23 women’s team after competing in the McCain Cross Country Challenge at Sefton Park in Liverpool over the weekend.
Murray ran in the senior women’s race and came ninth with a time of 28.11mins over the 8k course.
However, she was the second U23 over the line and has therefore qualified to represent Team GB for the second year running.
