Athletics round-up

The first race in the Luton AC Summer Race Series takes place on Friday, June 29, with the John O’Callaghan Memorial five-mile race.

It is run in memory of the popular Luton coach and the two-lap course through the grounds of Luton Hoo starts and finishes at the Vauxhall Brache Estate in Gypsy Lane and gets under way at 7.30pm.

The other two races in the series, the Wardown 5km and Luton 10km, take place on July 22 and July 29.
