Bedfordshire CCC cruised to an eight wicket win over a Bedfordshire League Representative XI at Luton Town & Indians CC on Sunday.
The Representative side batted first, and were all out for 194 from 36.2 overs thanks mainly to the efforts of Matthew Barnes, who made 78.
He was caught by Ben Welch off the bowling of Luke Evans, who went on to take 3-47 from his 8.2 overs.
Khuran Farooq also finished with 3-21, while opener Kanchana Rodrigo hit 31.
In response, Bedfordshire got off to a terrible start, falling to 11-2 with Welch (0) and Lewis Perrin (1) dismissed.
However, Greg Hofbauer then made 65 before retiring, while Kelvin McFarlane retired on 83 as Jake Nicholls (9 not out) and Kashif Ali (19 not out) saw them over the line.
Beds now start their MCCA Unicorns KO Trophy Group Two campaign this weekend with a trip to Hertford CC to take on Hertfordshire CCC.
