Bobby George on Storming Sunday bill

The light welterweight, real name Boris Georgiev has enjoyed three wins since turning pro, most recently beating Tamao Dwyer in July.

Although his opponent is yet to be named, George was in confident mood as he said: “I am hoping to get this one out of the way then another in December with another couple of fights early in the new year after which I want to move up and start boxing for titles.

“I know it is early in my professional career but I was very successful as an amateur and very confident that I can step up in class in the professional ranks.”

Trainer Mervyn Turner added: “He is a really nice lad who is a bit of a showman with a great deal of talent so is a real crowd pleaser.

“There is no doubt Bobby is the real deal and is going on a long journey within the game so I am sure the boxing fans of Luton will want to go with him all the way to the top and will turn out in numbers to support him at York Hall.”
