Boxer Reynolds targets Olympics after debut win

Earl’s protege hoping to make the England team

FRESH from his first amateur victory, young welterwight Jordan Reynolds is targeting a place at the Olympics, writes Mark Wood.

The 15-year-old from Farley Hill in Luton is dreaming of representing his country after beating North Herts ABC’s Lewis Calvert in his first amateur fight at Liquid in Stevenage last Thursday.

Having scored a TKO victory on the night boxing for Stevenage ABC, Reynolds is now hoping to progress quickly.

He said: “I should have another fight in three weeks. It could be anywhere, Stevenage, Hitchin or Luton.”
