The 35-year-old made his comeback after five years out of the ring, when defeated by Michael Katsidis last month.

Earl is now in Malta for his bout with Martin, 27, and said: “I’m not sure if I will continue after this one.

“I did the Katsidis fight as it was the one I wanted, then this one came up, so I took it, but I’m not sure after this.

“I’m not as serious about boxing as I was anymore or as professional though as I didn’t cut any corners before hand and I would have done my preparation weeks ago.

“This fight is for me though, it’s my journey now, the we’ll see what happens.”

Earl’s opponent Martin has turned his career around, with a recent run of eight straight victories.

The fight is for the vacant World Boxing Foundation welterweight title, but that doesn’t bother the Lutonian who knows he has to achieve a knock out if he wants to crowned the winner.
