Earl suffers defeat to Martin
Luton boxer Graham Earl was beaten by Steve Martin in their clash for the vacant World Boxing Foundation welterweight title in Malta on Friday.
Earl, who turned 36 yesterday, was retired when his corner threw in the towel during the 10th round at the Hilton Hotel.
It remains to be seen whether Earl will carry on now after the sixth defeat of his career, as he had admitted to the News/Gazette last week that it might have been his final bout.
