First pro victory for Mustafa as he wins on points

The 23-year-old, who had drawn on his pro debut back in November 2014, was up against his opponent at Troxy Limehouse in London as part of the Judgement Day bill promoted by Hellraiser Boxing.

Mustafa had endured a difficult preparation for the bout, as two separate opponents pulled out beforehand, with Samusas – who had a record of one win, nine defeats and one draw from his 11 contests – stepping up three days beforehand.

With the fight broadcast live on London Live TV, Mustafa had a tricky start to the fight, with his opponent not wearing the right gloves approved by the British Boxing Board of Control.

However, once the bout got underway, round one saw Mustafa get caught with a shot to the back of the head early on as he worked his jab to the body well.

The Lutonian then hurt his left hand as round two saw Samusas come out swinging for the opening 10 seconds.

Mustafa remained elusive though, picking off his moments to unleash the jab, plus some right hooks to the body and head.

Round four saw the youngster continue working his combinations as Mustafa outpointed his opponent 40-36.

Afterwards, Mustafa said: “I think I kept my distance in the fight, picked my shots, didn’t get lazy and stayed switched on.

“My fans who came down to watch me were a great support too.”

Manager Joe Elfidh was also impressed with his charge as well, saying: “I thought he boxed well over the four rounds and it was a deserved victory.

“He has some excellent support and we would love to one day have a fight in Luton.”

Mustafa is now scheduled to take on Darren Snell in the Camden Centre on December 4, with his opponent making his professional debut in the ring.
