His last trip to these shores was also successful against the much-fancied Liam Richard.

Trainer Mervyn Turner said: “Bobby has been training hard all summer after the disappointment of the fight being postponed in July.

“It has given him time to get in some serious training so that he is in great shape to kick of the new season with a bang.

“This season will prove somewhat defining with one or two titles which will be within his grasp over the coming few months.

“If he comes through them successfully then we can look to challenge for major honours like the British title or perhaps even more towards the end of 2013.

“Bobby has really caught the imagination of the Luton boxing fans with his performance in his last fight at Bedford so we are expecting large numbers to get behind him for his next fight.”
