Legg to fight Joshua on Froch v Groves undercard
Shamrock BC fighter Matt Legg will be stepping into the ring with Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua at the undercard of the Carl Froch and George Groves fight at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 31.
Since turning pro, Joshua, 24, who is a World Amateur Championships silver medalist too, has won five out of his five bouts so far.
Meanwhile, Legg has won seven and lost two of his nine bouts, with his last victory coming over Deyan Mihailov in April.
Trainer Mervyn Turner said: “This is a great opportunity for Matt who has been training very hard for the fight.
“He will certainly be taking the fight to the gold medalist.”
