Lutonian Stephenson takes last-minute fight

Luton light heavyweight Marco Stephenson has taken a last-minute fight against unbeaten fighter Hosea Burton, writes Mark Wood.

The pair will clash at the Ice Arena in Hull on Saturday, with 30-year-old Stephenson looking for the fourth win of his career in his sixth fight.

Burton, 25, from Manchester and 6ft 4ins, has won all seven of his previous bouts.

Manager and trainer Mervyn Turner said: “It’s a fight that Marco has taken at short notice against a really good kid, but he feels confident that he can be successful and it’s a great opportunity for him.”
