Stephenson faces Andraes Evangelou, 28, who boasts four wins and a draw, and is the brother of Chris who faces Danny Connor in a re-match for the Light Welterweight Southern Area title on the same card.

After his demolition of Stuart Maddox on the Bedford show this is a step up in class for 29-year-old Stephenson.

Stephenson, who has an even record of two wins and two defeats, said: “I am ready to face the challenge and I know I can beat this guy, it will not be easy but I know I can do the business and will be very ready come December 8.”
