Narrow win for Luton bowlers
Luton IBC earned a narrow 124-111 victory in their mixed clash at Riverain on Saturday.
The top rink was Cliff Whitelock’s four of Maureen Ashley, Frank Mooney and Rod Stott, winning 29-15.
Other victories followed for Geoff Hancock’s four (25-18) and Don Giddins’ quartet (16-13), while Bob Percival’s rink drew 20-20.
There were defeats for Darrell Doutre’s foursome (24-20) and Enid Pullin’s four (21-14), but Luton had done enough for the win.
