Stevenson ready to reignite his career

Luton boxer Marco Stephenson is scheduled for a return to the ring on Sunday, November 16 as part of the Shamrock Boxing Promotions Redemption bill at Wonderworld, Xscape in Milton Keynes.

The 31-year-old hasn’t fought since July 2013, when he beat Bryan Richardson to make his pro record three wins and two defeats.

Promoter Mervyn Turner said: “Marco returns with a renewed belief and a determination to now push his stop start career to the next level.

“Stephenson has all the talent in the world but has failed to capitalise on this but now aims to do so.

“In a division distinctly lacking talent these days since the departure of the likes of (Tony) Bellew and (Nathan) Cleverly it will not take much for him to climb the ranks.”

The headline fight is a rematch between Shamrock heavyweight Tom Little and Dorian Darch from Wales.

Little had lost a controversial decision on points back in July and has been sparring with Michael Sprott, who takes on Anthony Joshua.

Fellow Shamrock boxers Nathan Graham and Ryan Nandha are also on the bill, while Charlie Brown will be making his professional debut in the light heavyweight division.
