Luton’s Frankie Storey took on Micheal Chalke from Repton Boxing Club.
Chalke was the 2015 Junior ABA champion and has represented England, so was the clear favourite to win the competition.

After a tough three rounds and a black eye, Storey was declared winner by a unanimous decision.
The youngster said: “ I was delighted with my performance, it was a tough fight and I look forward to the quarter-finals in Rotherham next weekend.”
Also representing the Academy was Tysie Gallegher who went through with a bye, meaning both boxers are competing in the quarter-finals on Friday, followed by semi-finals on Saturday and finals on Sunday.
