The Cardinal Newman pupil and Luton Academy ABC boxer faced Islington ABC fighter Alfie Andrews, who was on a winning run of four stoppages from his last five bouts.

Underdog Storey was at a disadvantage in height, reach, weight and experience.

He won the first round convincingly though and proved far too strong in the second, landing some heavy left hands and right hooks to the body, almost forcing Andrews to take a standing eight count.

It was difficult to separate the boxers in a tight third round, but Storey triumphed.

He will now be hoping to win national honours this year having claimed his 12th win from his last 13 bouts
