Cats caught out as Raiders net Cup final place
BASKETBALL: Victory over Cambridge Cats saw Genting Raiders ease into the final of the Herts Premier Cup competition on Sunday.
Raiders performed superbly to see off the high-flying Cambridge outfit, currently second in the league, as they triumphed 89-79.
Delighted coach Leon Noel said: “I’m extremely proud of the way the boys won a very hard-fought contest against a formidable opponent. The guys showed great character to bounce back in the fourth quarter and really stepped up to the plate when the game was on the line, especially after such a poor third period.”
