Alston spins Park in a web as Dunstable win

DUNSTABLE Town were one-wicket winners over Knebworth Park IIs in their Saracens Herts League Division Two home clash on Saturday.

Left-arm spinner Mike Alston was the star, taking 6-42 as the visitors were bowled out for 148.

Dunstable eventually squeaked home thanks to John Barry’s 35 and Dave Barker, who hit 26.

A fine innings from Mohammed Haroon helped Luton Town & Indians beat Watford Town by five wickets.

After Watford made 188 all out, Haroon then top scored with 87, while Jeremy Page made 40 and Dhiren Salvi hit 39 not out as Luton reached 194-5 in 45 overs.

With the ball, Salvi and Haroon had also impressed, taking 3-39 and 2-8 respectively, while Nitin Parsooth claimed 3-61.
