Carr’s half century not enough for Dunstable

The visitors chose to bat first and were bowled out for 158 with Terry Carr scoring 55.

Saints then chased the target down for the loss of five wickets with Luke Cherry picking up 2-21.

In Division Four B, the second team were home against Hertford IIIs, as the visitors made 186-8 as Sanwaal Ilyas (2-27), Ian Gilbert (2-26) and Jack Kilduff (2-38) picked up wickets.

Dunstable chased the total down thanks to openers Ian Horton (41) and Kofi Woodley getting (34), while Ian Gilbert made 37 not out.

Division Eight B saw the third team at home to Northampton Exiles IIs.

Dunstable batted first scoring an excellent 266, with Peter Treherne making 66, while Richard Kilduff (48) and Jack MacDiarmet (46) contributed.

Exiles were then dismissed for 149 as Hamzah Khan picked up 4-40 and Tarnjit Biryah claimed 4-26.
