The visitors were asked to bowl after losing the toss, but responded well, dismissing Knebworth for 126 as Luke Cherry took four wickets and Ian Gilbert claimed three.

The IIs hosted Hertfordingbury at Lancot Park in Division Four, completing a comprehensive eight wicket succes.

Stuart Harvey took 3-32 and Tarnjit Biryah finished with 4-33 as Hertfordingbury were all out for 139.

Dunstable surpassed this tally with ease, making 140-2 as Ian Horton finished unbeaten on 48 and Richard Kilduff made 70.

The IIIs were well beaten at home by Pirton, slumping to an eight wicket defeat.

Batting first, Adam Lewis made 55 in Dunstable’s below-par total of 165.

That was no match for Pirton, who raced to 166-2 in the 31st over.

Dunstable IVs were away to Pilgrims Oakley in Beds Invitation League Division One, looking for revenge after last weeks defeat by the same opposition.

However were once again were comfortably beaten, dismissed for just 113 after being put into bat, James Andrews top scoring with 47.

Oakley then set about making 114-1 as they were never seriously troubled.

On Sunday, Dunstable travelled to Lower Wardown Park where they took on Beds County League Premier Division leaders Lutonian.

Put into bat, captain Luke Cherry top-scored with 32 and Terry Carr made 27 as Dunstable were dismissed cheaply for 143 all out as.

Lutonians only lost two wickets in response, reaching 147-2.

Dunstable IIIs travelled to Ickwell looking to move up to second in Division Three.

They managed to do that, making 185-5 from 40 overs as TJ Biryah scored 55 and Ben Adamson hit 54.

Dunstable’s bowlers then managed to restrict Ickwell to 168-8 in their innings, thanks to Adamson claimiung 3-31, while there were two wickets apiece for Ciaran Newton and Kyle McSwiggan.
