The hosts, who were previously unbeaten at home, batted first and made 301-8 from 45 overs as Ian Gilbert took 1-39 from nine overs.

Dunstable got off to a brisk start through Mahesh Bhutiya (23), while Rob Pritchard made 53, but when Guy Hill was out for 83, it looked like the target was beyond them.

Dave Barker was then joined by Ian Gilbert and the pair put on 60, before Gilbert was caught for 31.

It mattered not as Barker saw Dunstable home at 302-7 with an unbeaten 61.

A win at home to Luton Town & Indians on Sunday will secure the league title for Dunstable.

If they lose and Lutonian beat Southill Park, the Lower Wardown Park side will be champions after they defeated Leighton Buzzard by 10 wickets.
