Hussain makes history with highest ever score

Batting against Lions CC in their Premier Division clash, Hussain came the to crease in the fifth over, and hammered 146 not out from just 46 balls, with 17 sixes and six fours.

That beat the previous record of 137no, scored by Asif Hussain from AKCC.

Hussain’s efforts saw his side reach 205-3 in 16 overs, which was far too much for Lions, who were restricted to 118-7, with Rahim Azim claiming 5-17.

Mohammed Haroon claimed a hat-trick as Luton Pakistanis proved too strong for Luton Eagles.

Chasing 174 for victory, Harroon took 3-7, including three wickets in three balls, as Eagles were held to 128-6.

Earlier, Haroon had excelled with the bat too, scoring a quickfire 56 as Pakistanis reached 173-7.

Shaheen enjoyed an 80-run triumph over The Saracens. Batting first, Raja Baba hit 70 as Shaheen made 167-3, while The Saracens could only muster 87 all out.

Division One action saw Kashmir Cavaliers fall to a five-wicket defeat against Accident Specialists.

Batting first, Cavaliers compiled 113-6 in 16 overs, but Specialists, aided by Shabaz Hussain’s 46, reached 118-4.

Luton United Stars were 54-run winners over Luton Hawks in their contest.

Stars had first use of the wicket, totalling 150-7 from 16 overs as Ali Nawaz top-scored with 50, with Hawks then struggling to 96-8 in reply.

AKCC recorded a 27-run win over Luton Saracens thanks to a fine all-round display from Sardar Naveed.

He hit 27 as AKCC made 128-6, but it was with the ball he really starred, claiming 3-19 as Saracens managed 101-7.

In Division Two, Cornered Tigers lost out to Kingsway in a high-scoring encounter.

Sajad Homyoon hit an unbeaten 74 for Tigers in their total of 131-2.

That was overhauled by Kingsway though, who reached 132-5 with an over left, as Ali Hassan was unbeaten on 44.

Hatters lost to Luton Majestics by five wickets.

Batting first, Hatters made 110-5, while Majestics reached 112-7 thanks to Mohammed Ghaffar’s knock of 28 runs.

Haidery Tigers had a walk over win against Luton Cricketers.
