Inspirational Indians’ phenomenal weekend

LUTON Town and Indians held their nerve to beat Old Finchleians by four runs in Division Two of the Saracens Hertfordshire League on Saturday.

Town posted 207 in 52.1 overs, Kashif Dalvi smashing 68, Manopal Sehmbey notching 39 and Mohammed Haroon 21. Khizer Manzoor then took a brilliant 7-80 and Nitin Parsooth 3-65 as Old Finchleians came up just short at 203.

Division Two saw Dunstable Town enjoy an 86-run home win over Watford Town. Batting first Dunstable scored 196-6 with John Barry top scoring with 48 and a number of batsman chipped in with scores in the 20s. In response Watford were always struggling and were dismissed for just 110 with Luke Cherry taking 4-34.

High-flying Botany Bay imposed a six-wicket defeat on Dunstable Town IIs in Division Four.
