Panesar’s England future questioned after Ashes whitewash

Luton spinner Monty Panesar was dropped from England’s team last week as they were thrashed by 281 runs against Australia in Sydney.

Debuts were handed to Gary Ballance, Scott Borthwick and Boyd Rankin as Joe Root, Panesar and Tim Bresnan all made way.

The move has led some to question whether this is the end of Panesar’s international career as England fell to a 5-0 series whitewash, although Panesar only featured in two of the matches.
