Riaz’s unbeaten 50 steers Lutonian past Ampthill

Hosts Ampthill had chosen to bat and were restricted to 162-7 as Saanwal Ilyas took 2-29, with Aslam Khan (1-19), Hamid Riaz (1-21) and Naeem Khan (1-15) also picking up wickets.

Lutonian were never troubled by the target as they eased to 164-3 in 30.1 overs thanks to an unbeaten 54 from Hamid Riaz, including eight fours and one six.

He put on 79 for the fourth wicket with Zaheer Khan (34), while Sulieman Mohammed made 26 and Naeem Khan added 23.

In Division One, Lutonian beat Luton Town & Indians at Lower Wardown Park by an impressive 149 runs.
