Town crumble to heavy defeat but Dunstable ease past Hemel

Batting first, the hosts were dismissed for a paltry 74 and then saw their opponents reach 80-2 from 25.4 overs.

Brad Matthews and Mike Alston bowled Dunstable to a home four wicket win over Hemel Hempstead in Division Two.

The visitors were dismissed for just 123 as Matthews took 4-26 and Alston claimed 3-14, with Dunstable then reaching 124-6 thanks to Mahesh Bhutiya (31) and Matthews (22 not out).

In Division Three, Luton Town & Indians IIs lost by 21 runs at Chipperfield Clarendon. Town dismissed their hosts for 143 as Harmain Asif took 3-23 and Santosh Singh claimed 3-46 from 16.1 overs.

Masood Mahmood then made an unbeaten 27 not out, but Luton fell short as they were all out for 122.

Offley & Stopsley nearly made a mess of what should have been a resounding victory over Hemel Hempstead IVs in Division Eight.
