In Luton’s reply, Manjit Singh hit a quickfire 30 runs. But the real hero with the bat was Mohammed Umar who came in at number 11 and scored a matchwinning 35 not out to take the team home.

There are now just six matches to go and Town & Indians III have gone top of the division, with a good chance of winning the title.

On Sunday Samad played for Luton Town & Indians II against Dunstable II in the Beds County League and got 3-15 off his nine overs to finish the weekend with 10 wickets for 22 runs off 12.3 overs. His efforts helped his team to climb off the bottom of the Division One table.
