Ampthill Town totalled 223-7 from their 53 overs and Luton finished on 162-8 from their 47 overs.

Dunstable Town moved back to the top of Saracens Herts League Division Two with an eight-wicket victory at home to Wheathamstead.

The visitors made 173 as Brad Matthews, Sam Cherry and John Barry took three wickets apiece.

This total was easily passed with Matt Custance making 55, Cherry 57 not out and Terry Carr 42 not out as Dunstable eased to 175-2 in just 33 overs.

Luton Town & Indians CC IIs edged to a seven-run win over North Enfield in Division Three.

Prayag Katechia hit 44 as Luton were all out for 134 in 42.3 overs before dismissing North Enfield for 127, with Wakar Arif taking 5-32-5 and Divyesh Patel 3-35.

Dunstable IIs returned to the top of Division Five with a 90-run win at Leverstock Green IIs.

Richard Kilduff made 80 and Ian Horton 58 as Dunstable scored 260.

In reply, Leverstock were dismissed in the last over of the match for 170 with Kashif Ali the pick of the bowlers with 3-20.

Hexton’s good season continued with a comprehensive seven-wicket victory against Great Gaddesden in Division Seven.

Having won the toss, Gaddesden batted well and, despite good bowling from Conner Andrew (3-25) and veteran Ian Laidler (3-17), made 195 all out.

Hexton made light work of the chase with Mark Smith unbeaten on 63 and Luke Munt rediscovering his form to score an excellent 52 as Hexton eased home in 33 overs at 196-3.

Luton Town & Indians IIIs claimed the narrowest of one-wicket wins against Radlett IVs in Division Seven.

Samad Parkar took 2-9, Haroon Afridi 2-19, Anil Ishaq 2-20 and Tahir Ishaq 2-29 as Radlett were blown away for 122, and Jaskeerat Singh (25) and Janak Trivedi (21) then top scored as they narrowly got home at 124-9.

Thirteen-year-old Jack Kilduff took 3-11 as Dunstable IIIs triumphed by 15 runs against Northwood Town IIs in Division Eight.

The home side were made to work hard for their 173, with Mahesh Godhania (35) and Paul Gilbert (31) the main run scorers, before Northwood were dismissed for 158 with Kilduff to the fore.

Offley & Stopsley triumphed off the final ball of the day to claim a thrilling four-wicket win over Met Police Bushey IIs in Division Eight.

The deicision to put the Met into bat on a belting track backfired as they raced to 54-0 in only eight overs, but after the breakthrough wickets began to fall.

However, when Perera and Patel came together at 112-4, they threatened to take the game away from Offley.

The introduction of Colin Keeley was key, immediately taking the wicket of Perera on his way to 4-17, with Chris Austin making a stumping while standing up to the fast bowler, as the Met were eventually bowled out for 191.

Offley reply stuttered on 31 when Dhru Patel and Kieran Maher were removed by the dangerous leg-spinner Chauhan.

Skipper Steve Bexfield stood firm as cheap wickets fell and found a partner in Josh Hook.

Bexfield went for 84, leaving Offley 32 to chase off the final five overs with four wickets remaining.

Darren Lunney and Hook continued the run-a-ball chase and, although Lunney edged to the keeper with the scores level and two balls remaining, Colin Keeley hit a four off the last ball to claim victory at 195-6.

Offley remain in the relegation zone, but are now within touching distance of safety.

Pirton lifted themselves clear of the relegation places in Division Nine with a straightforward eight-wicket victory over fellow strugglers Harpenden Dolphins, with paceman Hyden Andrew claiming a hat-trick.

Having opted to bowl first wicketkeeper Sam Davies Jnr claimed a one-handed catch off the bowling of Darren Goldsmith in only the second over as Dolphins were reduced to 43-5 off 19 overs.

Andrew then completed the perfect hat-trick as M Lacey was caught at the wicket by Davies for 24, R Giovanni bowled the next ball and G Downes adjudged lbw.

Dolphins collapsed to 71 all out in the 35th over, with Goldsmith ending with 4-30, Andrew 3-3, Jake Laskowski 2-23 and Scott Clarke 1-8.

In reply, Tom Laskowski went for 12 and Richard Thompson for 15, but opener Dave Newman saw Pirton through to victory in the 26th over with an unbeaten 39 in their 75-2.

In Division Ten, Luton Town & Indians IVs beat Hoddesdon IIIs by seven wickets.

Yousuf Alim took four wickets and Mohammed Essa had figures of 8-1-32-3 as Hoddesdon were all out for 167,

Shyam Katechia (72) and Simon Shirley (50) then added 105 for the second wicket as Luton eased to 171-3.

Dunstable IVs went top of Division Three in the Bedfordshire Saturday Invitation League with a nine-wicket win at Pavenham & Felmersham.

Pavenham batted first and scored 125 with Harry Wright taking 3-23 and Alex Gordon 3-28.

Dunstable then eased to 129-1 with Mehul Godhania scoring 43 and Ken Alden 31 not out.

Lutonian lost to Southill Park by seven wickets in the Bedfordshire County League Premier Division.

Having chosen to bat, Lutonian were skittled out for 145 in 38.1 overs.

Their first five wickets went for just 30 runs, although Ahtzaz Ahmed (40) and Usman Farooq (23) put on 67 for the sixth wicket.

Harmain Asif (24) and Kashif Bhatti (13 not out) then helped to boost their total with a 37-run ninth wicket stand.

In reply, Southill eased to 148-3 in 29.3 overs, with Ahmed taking 1-22, Asif Khan 1-22 and Hamid Riaz 1-24.

Dunstable recovered from 45-3 to record a big 164-run victory over Luton Town & Indians.

Terry Carr scored 131 and Sam Cherry 109 not out as they added 209 for the fourth wicket as Dunstable fought back to post a huge 294-4.

Wakar Arif was Luton’s best bowler with a spell of 9-1-17-2.

Dunstable then bowled Luton out for 130 with four wickets each for Sam Marshall and Cherry and two for Stuart Harvey, while Jatinder Singh (39) and Prayag Katechia (26) were Luton’s best bowlers.

Luton Town & Indians IIs claimed a one-wicket off the last over Dunstable IIs in Division One.

Hosts Dunstable batted first and scored a fine 281-7 with skipper Steve Rumball making 116 not out, Ian Gilbert 40, Kashif Ali 35 and Adam Lewis 31, while Badal Naik took 2-9 and Younas Ahmadzai 2-50

Dunstable dropped two catches as Luton edged home at 282-9, with M Godhania taking 3-36, Adam Lewis 3-37 and Ian Gilbert 2-58.

Early contributions came from Bashir Dalvi (22) and Shyam Katechia (25), before a 129-run fifth-wicket stand between Jaskeerat Singh (88) and Anil Ishaq (40) helped Luton recover from 81-4, before Muhsin Raquib smashed 33 not out off 25 balls to finish the chase off.

Luton Town & Indians IIIs romped to a 152-runs victory over Apsley Guise in Division Three.

Contributions came from Yousuf Alim (53), Graham Simpson (46), Hasan Al Mahmud (46), Mohammed Qamar (21 not out) and Karanjit Singh (20) as Luton made 231-9.

Apsley Guise then collapsed to 79 all out in 25 overs as Haroon Afridi claimed 4-8, Mohammed Qamar 2-0 and Masud Rafiq 2-20.

There was a 60-run defeat for Dunstable IIIs at Henlow in Division Four.

Henlow amassed 228-8 as Awais Khan took three wickets, while Dunstable were dismissed for 168 with Dave Skinner making 35 and Paul Gilbert 30 not out.
