Wagh's efforts not enough as Indians collapse

On Sunday, the first team suffered a heavy defeat in the Beds County League Premier Division as they lost by 69 runs to Dunstable, only managing 165 all out in reply to Duns’ 234 for eight.

There was better news for the Indians IIs who saw off Caldecote by 39 runs.

Shyam Katecha hit 45 and Peter Bonham 38 as the Luton side posted 162 for seven, and that proved to be enough as Caldecote crumbled to 123 all out.

Masoon Mahmood starred with the ball, taking four for 19, while he was well supported by Haroon Afridi who claimed three for 14.

Indians IIIs were comfortably beaten in their clash with Harrold.

Jagminder Singh was the only batsman to get going for Luton as they were bowled out for 127, and Harrold then eased to 129 for four in just 19 overs, despite the best efforts of Umar Mahmood who claimed three for 34.

Excellent bowling from Hassan Ali Awan and Sailesh Patel inspired Indians IVs to a 54-run win over Ickwell IIs.

Luton made an useful 213 for eight thanks to 53 from Harsimran Jit Singh, 43 from Rickesh Patel and 37 from Samsher Singh.

Awan then snared five for 59 and Patel four four 42 as Ickwell were dismissed for 159.
