Wagh’s five in vain as Indians forced to hold on at Hitchin

Sawbridgeworth could only make 236-9, with Indians surpassing their total on 239-3.

Batting first, Luton reached 191-8 as Clarendon fell short on 123.
Division Nine A saw Luton Town & Indians IVs defeat Hatfield Hyde by 33 runs.
Indians made 203-7 in their innings, with Hatfield Hyde II all out for 170.

Hide AdOn Sunday, Luton Town & Indians were four wicket winners over Ampthill Town in their Beds County League Premier Division contest.
The visitors chose to bat, and were restricted to 208-8 as Sachin Wagh was the best bowler, claiming 3-34.
There were also wickets for Mohammed Ismael (2-46), Sajad Homyoon (2-29) and Muhsin Raquib (2-16).
Despite losing three early wickets, Dhruv Patel (63) and Tom Mills (61) did the bulk of the legwork in the middle order as Town reached 211-6.

In a match reduced to 28 overs, Luton reached 105-6 with Jeremy Page top-scoring with 32.
However, Biggleswade then eased to 107-3 in reply.
The IIIs’ Division Three match at Bedford was abandoned with the hosts on 46-1.
The IVs hammered Cople by 10 wickets in a match lasting just 12.3 overs.
