Wizard time in Oz should help Keogh

DUNSTABLE all-rounder Rob Keogh is hoping his experience out in Australia over the winter will stand him in good stead for the new season with Northamptonshire, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 19-year-old spent most of the off season with Victoria side North Balwyn and said: “It was really good experience to get away. I didn’t know anyone out there and grew up a little bit. The cricket went OK, but the weather wasn’t the best. We had the worst weather in years.

“It was all about getting more games under my belt. I played two-day games, one-day games and Twenty20 games.”
