Cycling round-up: Luton duo set for British Championships
Luton duo Laurence Mapp (Elite class) and Christopher Mapp (17-29-year class) are among the 14-strong Royston Rockets BMX Racing Club squad registered for the British Championships.
The event is being held at the international standard track in Birmingham’s Perry Park over the bank holiday weekend with 1,200 riders in action.
Meanwhile, three Icknield Road Club riders rode at the Chronos RC 10-mile time-trial on the F2A/10 course near Cambridge.
A total of 82 riders were in action, with Paul Bachini 61st in 25.41mins, Adrian Briers 63rd in 25.48mins and Colin Holmes 65th in 26.01.
