Dees hope to have turned corner

Dunstablians 3 Newark 17

AN encouraging performance from Dunstablians still couldn’t bring them their first Midlands One East victory of the season as they went down 17-3 at home to Newark on Saturday.

Outside centre and man of the match Campbell Haig said: “We came together in this game and for the first time this season we really started playing as a team.

“It was far from perfect but we believe we have really turned a corner now.

“We have a team to build on and bring into training this week ready to take out next Saturday for our first win and set a standard from here on out.”
