Dunstablians reached the Beds County Cup final after a comfortable 43-12 win at Bedford Swifts on Saturday.
The visitors set the tone by taking an early lead as Zach Bourne went over.
Luke Ashton then received a yellow card, but Dees didn’t let it affect them as a great pass from Scott Warren saw Sam Wilkins race away to dot down, Kevin Boland adding the extras to make it 12-0.
Wilkins soon had his second try of the day, with Boland once again doing the job from the tee, although his radar was off after Warren had crossed the line to extend Dees’ advantage to 24-0.
Ashton was back on the field by then and he went over soon afterwards, with Aaron Martinez following suit and Boland slotting the two points to make it 36-0 to Dunstablians.
Swifts finally got themselves on the scoreboard through with a converted try of their own, and went over again to make it 36-12, although a comeback was never really on the cards.
It was the visitors who had the final word, too, Campbell Haig getting his name on the scoresheet, with Bourne adding the extras.
Dees will now face local rivals Stockwood Park in the final.
Dunstablians, who sit fifth in Midlands Three East South, are back in league action this weekend when they visit leaders Oundle.
