The event was organised by the Dunstable Road Runners and was started by the Dunstable Town Mayor John Chatterley and consisted of three events, a half-marathon, 20-mile race and full marathon.

Dunstable Road Runners ladies captain Ruth Grint said: “This event is growing each year, it’s a fun event as there’s no prizes for coming first, just satisfaction that you completed the challenge without getting lost.

“Runners this year come from far and wide, we had one runner from Bahrain.”
