Dunstable SC host Sprint night

Dunstable Swimming Club’s third Splash Sprint night took place at Harpers Leisure Centre last Saturday.

Having always been in-house events, Dunstable were joined by swimming clubs from Putteridge and Hatfield for the first time.

The boys 50m freestyle was split into five heats, with Billy Mead third in his heat in a new best of 45.06secs and Sam Mead first in his in 33.66secs.

William Richards and Connor Seymour took first and third places with PBs of 34.68secs and 40.92secs, Antony Hill triumphed in the fourth heat with a PB of 29.99secs, Milad Divsalar was third with a PB of 32.81secs and Harry Rowlands won his in a new best of 31.88secs and Matthew Fitt runner-up in his in 32.20secs.

The girls 50m freestyle saw Holly Wilks runner-up in her heat in 39.37secs, Morgan White triumph in hers in a PB of 35.42secs, Emma Yule win hers in a new best of 28.71secs, Katie Williams finish runner-up in 31.81secs and third Chloe MacDiarmid in 34.54secs, while Rachael Elms clocked 33.95secs.

William Hamm was runner-up in his heat of the boys 25m butterfly in a PB of 28.67secs and Siddhant Deskhmukh third in the same heat with a PB of 37.88secs.

In the girls 25m butterfly, Ruby Collins was third in her heat with a PB of 28.78secs and Emily White triumphed in hers as she took 7.5secs off her PB with 30.44secs.
