AFC fall to first defeat

AFC Dunstable suffered their first Molten Spartan SML Premier Division defeat of the season as they went down 3-2 at London Colney on Saturday.

AFC took the lead on eight minutes when Lee Burgoyne’s free kick took a wicked deflection on its way into the net.

Colney then fought back through Matt Newman and Tony Burns to lead 2-1 the break.

The visitors equalised on 55 minutes through Burgoyne’s second of the game, before Greg Shaw netted a last-gasp winner.

AFC host Aylesbury United on Wednesday.
