All the odds as Hatters host Newport County

It's hard not to think what might have been for Town; back-to-back away wins this week made it three successive victories for the Hatters and Nathan Jones's side are 50/1 to finish in the play-offs and, whilst it is still mathematically possible, they must keep fighting.

The Hatters entertain Newport County this weekend and are evens at BetVictor to extend their winning run with the Exiles, who are not yet certain to still be playing in League Two next term, 29/10 and the draw at 12/5.

The even money quote suggests the bookmakers still want to take on the Hatters at Kenilworth Road but I hope, and expect, to see a seventh home win of the season.

Joe Pigott has scored three times in his last two games and is 5/1 to grab the opener and 6/4 to find the back of the visitor’s net during the 90 minutes; I fancy the Hatters to win 2-1 which is priced at 17/2.

The reverse fixture at Rodney Parade back in November ended in a 3-0 win for the Exiles, their first home win of the season, and Town owe the Welsh side one. Another 3-0 home win is 19/1 with BetVictor.
