Barton progress in FA Cup after Staines win
Barton Rovers progressed to the next round of the FA cup on Friday evening after a comfortable win 2-0 preliminary round win over Staines Lammas.
Visiting keeper Richard Wilmot made a string of fine saves to deny Staines early on, while it took Rovers until the 50th minute to break the deadlock as Rhys Hoeness’ shot deflected past Josh Richardson.

Hide AdBarton doubled their lead and sealed the tie on 68 minute when Nat Peacock outpaced his marker on to a through ball, rounded the keeper and slotted home.
Rovers host newly-promoted Royston Town in the league on Bank Holiday Monday, kick-off 7.45pm.
