DUNSTABLE Town finally made their superiority pay to reach the first round proper of the FA Vase with a 2-1 victory over Cranfield United on Saturday.

A second-half double from former boss Grant Carney put Town 2-0 up and though United, who play in Division One of the Molten Spartan SML League, scored late on, it was the Blues who went through to host AFC Wallingford in the next round.
