Dunstable were indebted to keeper Luke Chambers for a magnificent performance throughout, as he made a wonderful save from Ashley Sammons and also denied Luke Shearer.

Redditch took a deserved lead on 30 minutes when Simeon Maye stormed down the right flank and his cross fortunately beat Chambers and flew into the net.

After the break, the hosts once again tested Chambers to the limit as he made numerous stops to keep his side in the game.

Dunstable did start to get going, with Burnett a menace on the flank, allowing Ben Herd, Scott Davies and Charlie Henry more possession to try and find a way back into the game.

Redditch soon wrested the initiative back as further heroics from Chambers were called upon, while the Blues introduced Jemale McKenzie-Lowe for Effiong.

The sub forced Sam Hornby to save at his feet, before the hosts went 2-1 ahead when Ben Herd blotted his copybook by putting past his own keeper as United collected the victory.
