Civic reception held to celebrate club’s achievement

Dunstable Town Mayor John Chatterley held a civic reception at Creasey Park to celebrate the achievements of two Dunstable Football teams, AFC Dunstable Ladies and Dunstable Town FC.

Both clubs won their respective leagues, for the second successive year, with Dunstable Town crowned the Calor Southern League Division One Central champions and AFC finishing top of their Eastern Region Women’s Football League One South Division

Also at Creasey Park to add their congratulations were Members of the Town Council together with the Town Clerk and Chief Executive David Ashlee.

Cllr Chatterley said: “I am delighted that both teams have achieved back to back promotion and I am sure everyone in the town wishes both teams continued success.”

AFC Dunstable Ladies will be playing inn the Premier Division, next season, with Dunstable Town in the Southern Premier Divisoin.

Chairman of Dunstable Town FC Roger Dance was presented with his league medal by the club secretary Malcolm Aubrey.
