Dunstable Town were held to a 2-2 draw by Corby Town at the weekend.

The visitors welcomed Elliott Sandy back, while Adam Watkins has moved to Hemel Hempstead on loan and Charlie Henry failed to recover from a hamstring injury.

Both sides went close early as Steven Gregory shot just over for the visitors, while Corby’s Elliott Chamberlain missed a great chance.

Corby did have the lead on eight minutes when Spencer-Weir Daley finished well, although Dunstable came close to an equaliser when Chris Marsh’s shot was saved.

Dunstable were level on 21 minutes though when David Hutton’s corner went straight into the net with some assistance from Steelmen skipper Paul Malone.

Gary Mulligan could have made it 2-1 but missed from inside the box, while Ben Milnes’ effort was saved by Luke Chambers.

In the second period, Dunstable were ahead on 54 minutes when Mulligan’s shot was parried by Paul Walker and Shane Blackett hooked into the net.

Corby drew level with 15 minutes to go when Connor Kennedy produced an excellent finish as both sides shared the points.
